The extension uses Chrome's `chrome.storage.sync` API solely to store your personal UI preferences (such as blur intensity, active toggles, theme settings, language, and your custom hidden contacts list) locally within your browser. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible by us or any third parties.

WhatsApp Shield does not connect to any external servers, third-party analytics platforms, or tracking services.
